Smite is a free-to-play, third-person multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios for Microsoft Windows, mac, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. The game follows the story of the clashing of universes where gods of different religions appear in one arena and duke it out to see who will appear on top, and who will appear on top is up to you as the player! The game has over 100 Arthurian, Celtic, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Japanese, Mayan, Norse, Polynesian, Roman, Slavic, Voodoo and Yoruba gods. Each god has a 3 different skills and an ultimate. You can choose what equipment to store in your inventory before you are in a match and decide what to equip and use in battle. Each god is voiced individually and has they'er own emote animation as well as defeat, victory, and idle animations. There are four types of gods. Hunters, Mages, Guardians, and Warriors. You can choose your own play-style based on the god you play and the type of god they are. Practice, Co-op, and normal are the guidelines for game modes you play. Game types include Conquest, Joust, Assault, Arena, and Siege. The more you play, increase your level and the more you find your group of gods you preform the best with, you will begin to increase your two types of currency (Favor and gems) which are used to buy skins and more gods. Now for my personal opinion. This game is highly looked high upon and i can definitely see why. I as a person am oddly obsessed with individuality so when i see literally over 100 characters to pick from to decide who i like the most, i go bananas. Matches can take a while but if you are focused on the match or just having fun it will feel like a minute has passed. I have seen people complain about the toxicity of the community so while it does put me into caution i have not experienced anything relating to the sort.
All in all, 9/10 would play for 5 hours on accident again
