In class, our next quarter and all-around lesson plan are gonna revolve around photography and video. I have so much excitement and hope for these lessons. My hope would probably be left short thinking about the projects we are likely to get. I keep having dreams with my eyes open about a fun project where we have to make our own little movie companies and have to act out a short film based on the camera and video shots we have learned so far. It would be cringe but that's what is gonna make it funny. I think it would be a fun project. Outside of dreams, I have been looking into photography even before I knew about game design class. I've taken photos that have been complimented which I appreciate but I feel that if you put all my pictures together they all have one common factor. Light. Or at least that's what I have summed it up to be. Most of my pictures come with the theme of color, light, and space. The main reason I always (and probably always will) take these kinds of pictures is Soley because of the beautiful sight. It reminds me of bad but good memories of childhood and reminds me of why I like living. Definitely beats dying. I always had this strange affinity for light, it's just something that we can't measure or explain the existence of. Its how we picture our gods and how we think of something as being holy or otherworldy. People believe people are surrounded by light and are classified by it. It's so interesting to me that we have something that we harnessed by turning on lamps, need to survive so we can see our environments and at that same time, it can permanently scar us if we use it the wrong way. I probably sound like a pshyco and sound like I'm not thinking this through because the context of what I just said could be used to describe anything, But I mean this. So I have hope for photography and what I can capture.
