Sooooo, recently we have started to discuss the different types of lighting that goes on inside of 3D modeling. After doing a few (late) assignments and getting a taste of lighting and the surprisingly important shadows, I have come to the conclusion that I know N O T H I N G. I always have understood that lighting is what determines the entire mood of the scene, but shoot i always figured that it just came from a single source or at leasts just some universal setting. Never once did i think about how the light would need to designed. or placed, most especially in light bulbs or in lamps, or TV's. I also never thought there were more than one types of light. Between Hemispherical, point, spot and omni, i actually just figured that it was just one light in different setting. If you have not noticed in the previous posts, i always like to draw my 3D modeling inspiration back to the game Warframe. Though i suppose this could be said for all games. Dependent if you are in a room or near a source of light that operates outside of the light from the sky or the ceiling, there are more than one light sources, clearly. Though i never thought about the angle of the light based off where you are standing, the intensity, the color, the opacity, the shadows, and the type of light. It brings a major path of options to me. This is Exhilarating!
