Game Design....Again.

So before 9th grade began i decided to take a class called game design. The idea sounded cool obviously and i was the one hoping that it wouldn't just be that weird computer code thing where you give the dot commands on the side of the screen. It was fun in middle school but not what i wanted to get into. When we first got into the class we started small. We made a website to promote our work, started making quick sketches and learning how to make a basic drawing, the simple stuff. Mr Bourgeois eventually told us that thing aren't going to be as simple as some might have thought and the game design process goes a lot deeper then what again, most of us might of though. The people in the class were all creative dreamers and were very exited to hear those words including me. We eventually got told the rules of camera shots and animation which. Animation led to a very slow and boring project and just thinking about it made me type slow, but it taught us a lesson in appreciation of how it was to animate before better technology evolved compared to now. We were then able to make characters of our own and animate them. Leaning into another topic, with how most of us had big ideas and wanted to take everything above and beyond, that also meant you were gonna have to work harder and longer. I made my own anime personality using the body of another i thought fit me (that sounder weird i know). Making him detailed and correct and layered in order to be animated, was a challenge to say the least. I completed it though and Mr. Bourgeois liked it! i could not tell you how happy it made me to see him impressed. This is gonna sound weird but because my father and i were never on good terms for to long due to a long distance relationship and troubles with my mom, i never got much approval from him so for some reason i almost saw Mr. B as my dad for a second. Sorry if that sounds weird Mr.Bourgeois if you are reading this. Yet just like that the year was over. We just got into 3D modeling so im definetly hoping that we get to see more of that. I don't like that fact that we are going to have to doing this online though because it was much easier when i had my buddies Glen and B next to me. Hopefully we get to see more Adobe Illustrator because i think i have semi mastered that . All the things that i can imagine await me next school year with 3d modeling, voice acting, animating and programing, it gives me goose bumps! cant wait for the next class, through the good and the bad.
