BUM DA BUM REFLECTION TIME

During my time in Game And Art Design, my time of never failing or turning in an assignment late, my time of my grades never falling below 100%, My time of being called the worlds greatest student, and all the time I've spent dreaming about those statements being true.... I've learned a few things. I guess the main topic would be that games are taken quite seriously by their developers and their buyers. I guess the first step in most cases would be getting hired by a game company. There is a great amount of steps it takes to create a game. Theres the Writing of the lore and story, the creation of game mechanics, the modeling, the sound design, the voice acting (if any), animation, testers, all of which need to be working as a team to create one game. A very wide variety of skills categorized as hard and soft skills are usually held by the employers of whatever game company they are enlisted in. Hard skills being skills that one has primarily specialized in while soft skills are skills that one has some but not much experience in. The history of games is one to talk about as well. As humanity evolved, so did its taste in entertainment. In pre modern times you'd have games like the well known "The Royal Game Of Ur" or just simple playing cards. Then you would move to more modern games like "The Mansion of Happiness", "Snakes and Ladders" and the unforgettable "Dungeons and Dragons" We then enter the realm of VIDEO GAMES. Things like the Batman series, God Of War, Warfare, Smite, pretty much every game I've reviewed so far.... maybe I should review pre modern and modern games. Each of these games has a lineage that connects one to another. One game idea inspiring the concept that would later become another though table tops, RPGS, strategy and every other genre. Though along with these means of evolution, ethics evolved as well. Many concerns flooded the public and the government about how certain video games and concepts might be influencing the nations youth. With certain wholesome games that might have been good but considering the amount of games that involved murder, death and more murder that were released, I doubt it was good in the eyes of parents. The rating system began and multiple companies like the ESRB and PEGI, use their systems to label games and who their buyers should be more suited towards. Mainly defined by age groups such as the T for teen rating or the A rating for nobody under 18. With ethics, gaming growth, and design teams creating even MORE games, all was right with the world. Still wish my fantasy came true though.
